FAQ’s About Podcasts

Podcasting is a way of receiving your favorite audio programs automatically. When a site offers a podcast feed, you can subscribe to the feed (usually for free) using podcasting software known as “podcast aggregators” or “podcatchers” (also for free). Then, when any new programs are made available, they will be automatically downloaded to your computer. This saves your having to search for new audio programs.

Despite the name, no iPod is required. You can listen to the audio on your computer or download it to any device that plays MP3 files.

These are the latest universal symbols that indicate when a podcast feed is available. You will find one of these icons in the address bar of your browser whenever a podcast feed is available.
