Some of the most decorative members of our western chaparral are the flowering currants. A favorite in our Nursery, these five to eight foot shrubs experience their glory during the colder months in our California Native garden. It is then that racemes of delicate flowers in shades from white to pink to purple to red hang from their bare branches giving a spot of color to the late winter/early spring landscape.

Join us for Tequila Sunset, a very special evening at SFBG! Taste fine Semental Tequila at its inaugural San Francisco introduction. Nibble zesty Mexican botanas from one of the City's most popular restaurants. Learn about the agave and how exceptional tequilas are produced from this beautiful and fascinating plant. Stroll through the Meso-American and Succulent Gardens and enjoy the Garden at this 'after-hours' time of day.
